Why couldn't I just "make a deal" with a moving company instead of joining The Move Network? There are many Agents that have worked out “deals” with local moving companies in their area and we applaud that! The problem lies in the “long distance” aspect of the moving business and its cost effectiveness. As an Agent, if you were going to pay for your customer's long distance or interstate move using a “retail” mover, the final bill would be just about equal if not more then your total commission check. With a “discount”, you may be able to walk away with a few dollars left over. As a member of The Move Network, you have the ability to offer the move and only pay 1% of the home sales price (or a minimum of $3,000) for a long distance move. In addition to that, you will have more time to focus on selling real estate while our professional coordinators handle every aspect of your customer's move. The Move Network was founded by Real Estate Agents. We understand how difficult it is to gain new prospects and how important it is to give the customer the best possible service in order to generate referrals. What will I be required to know about the moving business? Not much at all! We have a top-notch team of coordinators that are happy to answer any questions your customers may have about the move. We've been in the moving business for a long time and have "heard it all"! Once your customer has registered their move online, a move coordinator will supply them with some reading material filled with helpful information and tips about moving. What is the quality of the moving companies that actually perform the services for my customers? The Move Network and its affiliated movers have all met or exceeded a strict requirement for a quality control standard of practice. Our movers are professionals and have maintained a minimum safety record based on our specific requirements. What liability do I have as the Agent if my customer's belongings are damaged? You will not be liable for damage. Your customers will be required to read and sign our terms and conditions agreement which contains legal language transferring the damage liability to The Move Network and its affiliated moving companies. Every Interstate move is provided with standard cargo insurance and total loss liability. Should a customer want additional insurance, they can purchase it through a third party provider. I have enough to think about when working with my clients. Is the "move" process going to add extra work for me? No. We have simplified the process so that your customers can easily register their move online. If they have questions, our move coordinators will be available to answer them. If your customer is not "Internet savvy", you may have to help them register their move online, but that process only takes about five minutes. |
